Description
Cool down with this refreshing Vanilla Almond Frozen Latte! A delicious blend of strong coffee, almond milk, and sweet vanilla almond flavor, perfect for a hot day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (or sweetener of choice, adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups ice cubes (more or less, depending on desired thickness)
- Optional: Whipped cream, for topping
- Optional: Shaved almonds, for garnish
- Optional: Chocolate syrup, for drizzling
Instructions
- Brew and Cool Coffee: Brew 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method. Let it cool completely (refrigerate for 30 minutes to speed up).
- Combine Liquids: In a blender, combine the cooled coffee, almond milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Add Sweetener: Add the granulated sugar (or your preferred sweetener). Start with 1/4 cup and adjust to taste after blending.
- Start with a Little Ice: Add about 1 cup of ice cubes to the blender.
- Blend on Low: Start blending on a low speed to break up the ice. Gradually increase the speed to medium.
- Add Remaining Ice: Add the remaining 1 cup of ice cubes.
- Blend Until Smooth: Continue blending until the mixture is smooth and creamy, with no large chunks of ice remaining. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more almond milk. If it’s too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
- Taste and Adjust: Taste the frozen latte and adjust the sweetness or flavor as needed.
- Pour and Garnish: Pour the frozen latte into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, shaved almonds, and chocolate syrup, if desired.
- Serve Immediately: Serve your Vanilla Almond Frozen Latte immediately and enjoy!
