Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pizza crust
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup taco sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cooked ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup corn
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- If using a store-bought pizza crust, remove it from the packaging and place it on a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If making your own, roll it out to your desired thickness and shape.
- Spread the refried beans evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Pour the taco sauce over the refried beans, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the taco sauce, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Add the seasoned ground beef or turkey evenly across the pizza.
- Sprinkle the diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and corn over the top.
- Finally, add the chopped green onions and cilantro (if using).
- Carefully place the pizza in the preheated oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown, and the crust is crispy.
- Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
- Slice the pizza into wedges using a sharp pizza cutter.
- Place a generous handful of shredded lettuce on top of each slice.
- Top each slice with a dollop of sour cream and a few slices of avocado.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for a zesty kick.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit the meat and add more vegetables like bell peppers or jalapeños.
- For extra spice, consider adding sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes before baking.
- Experiment with different cheese types for a unique flavor.
