Strawberry Daiquiri Cocktail: A Refreshing Recipe for Summer Sipping

  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2-4 servings 1x

Description

Enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri made with fresh strawberries, zesty lime, and smooth white rum. Perfect for summer gatherings or a cozy night in, this cocktail is easy to make and can be customized with additional fruits or a non-alcoholic twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 45 limes)
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (more if you prefer a slushier texture)
  • Fresh strawberries and lime wedges for garnish
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon of triple sec for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Hull them by removing the green tops and slice into halves or quarters.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with 1/4 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves (2-3 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, fresh lime juice, white rum, and cooled simple syrup. Add triple sec if using.
  4. Add ice cubes to the blender. For a thicker texture, add more ice.
  5. Blend on high speed until smooth (30-60 seconds). Stop to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  6. Taste the mixture. If needed, add more simple syrup for sweetness or a splash of lime juice to balance.
  7. Blend again briefly to incorporate any adjustments.
  8. Chill serving glasses in the freezer if desired. Pour the blended daiquiri into glasses, using a strainer for a smoother texture if preferred.
  9. Garnish with a fresh strawberry on the rim and a lime wedge.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy! Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for a few hours, but note that the texture may change as the ice melts.

Notes

  • For a frozen version, freeze the strawberries beforehand and skip the ice cubes for a thicker texture.
  • Experiment with other fruits like mango or pineapple for a tropical twist.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with sparkling water or lemonade.
