Description
Enjoy a refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri made with fresh strawberries, zesty lime, and smooth white rum. Perfect for summer gatherings or a cozy night in, this cocktail is easy to make and can be customized with additional fruits or a non-alcoholic twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4–5 limes)
- 1 cup white rum
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (more if you prefer a slushier texture)
- Fresh strawberries and lime wedges for garnish
- Optional: 1 tablespoon of triple sec for added flavor
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Hull them by removing the green tops and slice into halves or quarters.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of granulated sugar with 1/4 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves (2-3 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, fresh lime juice, white rum, and cooled simple syrup. Add triple sec if using.
- Add ice cubes to the blender. For a thicker texture, add more ice.
- Blend on high speed until smooth (30-60 seconds). Stop to scrape down the sides if necessary.
- Taste the mixture. If needed, add more simple syrup for sweetness or a splash of lime juice to balance.
- Blend again briefly to incorporate any adjustments.
- Chill serving glasses in the freezer if desired. Pour the blended daiquiri into glasses, using a strainer for a smoother texture if preferred.
- Garnish with a fresh strawberry on the rim and a lime wedge.
- Serve immediately and enjoy! Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for a few hours, but note that the texture may change as the ice melts.
Notes
- For a frozen version, freeze the strawberries beforehand and skip the ice cubes for a thicker texture.
- Experiment with other fruits like mango or pineapple for a tropical twist.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and replace it with sparkling water or lemonade.
