Description

Enjoy these fudgy strawberry brownies that blend rich chocolate with fresh strawberries, creating a deliciously sweet treat perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 inch square baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth and creamy (about 1-2 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. If using, fold in the chocolate chips for added richness.
  7. Gently fold the sliced strawberries into the brownie batter, being careful not to break them apart too much.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Once baked, let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Carefully lift them out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack.
  11. Cut the cooled brownies into squares (about 16 squares from an 8×8 pan).
  12. Dust the tops with powdered sugar for an elegant touch.
  13. Serve with extra slices of fresh strawberries and, if desired, a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  14. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Allow them to come to room temperature before serving for the best texture.

Notes

  • For a richer chocolate flavor, consider adding more chocolate chips or using dark chocolate.
  • Feel free to experiment with other fruits like raspberries or blueberries for a different twist.
