Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. If desired, add honey for a hint of sweetness. Whisk until well combined.
- Place the pork steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 to 4 hours.
- After marinating, remove the pork steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- If using a skillet, add a little olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the marinated pork steaks on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Once cooked, transfer the pork steaks to a plate and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Let them rest for 5-10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Slice the pork steaks against the grain for maximum tenderness. Arrange on a serving platter, drizzle with olive oil or lemon juice, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with your favorite sides.
