Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the pound of ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break it up as it cooks.
- Once the beef starts to brown, add the chopped onion. Cook until the beef is fully browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it simmer for another minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, crack the three large eggs and whisk them until well beaten.
- Pour in the cup of milk and whisk again until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. The batter should be smooth and slightly thick.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
