Notes
- Fresh juice is key for the best flavor.
- Adjust the simple syrup to taste based on the sweetness of your juices.
- Use a light, white rum for the best flavor balance.
- Be mindful of the sweetness of your cranberry juice. Opt for 100% cranberry juice or a low-sugar cranberry juice cocktail.
- Experiment with other red syrups like raspberry or pomegranate syrup as grenadine alternatives.
- For a bubbly twist, top with club soda or sparkling wine.
- For a frozen treat, blend all ingredients with a cup of ice.
- Batch the cocktail ahead of time for parties.
- Experiment with different types of bitters like orange or grapefruit bitters.
- Get creative with garnishes like edible flowers or candied citrus peels.
