Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
- 1 oz blue curaçao
- 1 oz coconut cream
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz strawberry puree (fresh or store-bought)
- 1 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Fresh strawberries, for garnish
- Blueberries, for garnish
- Ice cubes
- Optional: lime wheel, for garnish
Instructions
- Start by washing about 1 cup of fresh strawberries. Remove the green tops and any blemishes.
- Place the cleaned strawberries in a blender. If desired, add a tablespoon of sugar or honey for sweetness.
- Blend the strawberries on high until smooth. For a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times.
- Pour the strawberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove the seeds. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the Patrón Silver Tequila, blue curaçao, coconut cream, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.
- Add a generous amount of ice cubes to the shaker.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
- Grab a tall or hurricane glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes.
- Carefully strain the blue curaçao mixture into the glass over the ice.
- Slowly pour the strawberry puree over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect.
- Drizzle a splash of coconut cream on top for extra tropical flair.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries, either in the drink or on a cocktail pick.
- Optionally, add a lime wheel on the rim for added color.
- Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail stirrer, allowing guests to mix the layers as they sip.
- Encourage guests to admire the drink’s vibrant colors and fresh garnishes before enjoying.
Notes
- For larger batches, multiply the ingredients by the number of servings needed and mix in a pitcher.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute tequila with coconut water and blue curaçao with blue sports drink or blue raspberry syrup, adjusting sweetness as needed.
- Feel free to experiment with different fruits for the puree, such as mango or pineapple.
