This refreshing Mint Lemonade combines fresh mint and tangy lemon juice, making it a perfect thirst-quencher for hot days. Easy to prepare and delightful to serve, it’s sure to impress your guests and keep you cool!

- 1 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Mint sprigs for garnish
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Place the saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir the mixture until the sugar completely dissolves (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the packed mint leaves to the saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mint syrup cool to room temperature.
- Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl or jar to remove the mint leaves. Press the leaves gently to extract as much flavor as possible.
- Set the mint syrup aside.
- Roll each lemon on the countertop with your palm to soften them.
- Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer or reamer to extract the juice, removing any seeds.
- Measure out 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- In a large pitcher, combine the mint syrup and the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well.
- Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness as desired.
- Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to chill.
- Fill tall glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the chilled mint lemonade over the ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon on the rim.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
