Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, packed
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra protein and creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional, for added fiber and omega-3s)
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice (for a touch of tang)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger, freshly grated (optional, for a little zing)
  • A few ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)
  • 1/4 cup water (adjust to desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mango: Peel the mango, cut away from the pit, and dice into cubes.
  2. Wash the Spinach: Thoroughly wash the spinach to remove any dirt.
  3. Gather Frozen Fruit: Measure out the frozen pineapple chunks and banana slices.
  4. Measure Liquids and Extras: Measure out almond milk, Greek yogurt (if using), chia seeds (if using), lime juice, and grated ginger (if using).
  5. Layer Ingredients in the Blender: Add ingredients to the blender in the following order: almond milk, Greek yogurt (if using), spinach, mango, pineapple, banana, chia seeds (if using), lime juice, and ginger (if using).
  6. Start Blending on Low: Secure the lid and start blending on low speed. Gradually increase to medium, then high, until smooth.
  7. Check the Consistency: If too thick, add more almond milk or water. If too thin, add more frozen pineapple or banana.
  8. Add Ice (Optional): Add ice cubes and blend until smooth.
  9. Taste and Adjust: Adjust flavors as needed with honey, maple syrup, lime juice, or ginger.
  10. Pour into a Glass: Pour the smoothie into a glass or mason jar.
  11. Garnish (Optional): Garnish with a slice of mango, mint, or chia seeds.
  12. Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Mango Green Smoothie!
