These grilled steak tips are marinated in a flavorful blend of savory and sweet ingredients, making them perfect for summer barbecues or cozy dinners. Tender and juicy, they are easy to prepare and can be served with a variety of sides for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of steak tips (sirloin or flank steak)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and red wine vinegar.
  2. Add the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar to the bowl.
  3. Season the mixture with black pepper, salt, smoked paprika, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Stir until well combined.
  4. Taste the marinade and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  5. Place the steak tips in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  6. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably 4 to 6 hours, or overnight.
  7. About 30 minutes before grilling, take the steak tips out of the refrigerator to come to room temperature.
  8. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  9. Lightly oil the grates with a paper towel dipped in vegetable oil.
  10. Remove the steak tips from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the leftover marinade.
  11. Place the steak tips on the grill, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  12. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.
  13. Flip the steak tips and grill for another 4-5 minutes. Aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F for medium-rare or 140-145°F for medium.
  14. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
  15. Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steak tips from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes, covered loosely with aluminum foil.
  16. Slice the steak tips against the grain into bite-sized pieces.
  17. Arrange the sliced steak tips on a serving platter and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
  18. Serve with your favorite sides, such as grilled vegetables, salad, or mashed potatoes, and consider a dipping sauce like chimichurri or spicy aioli.
