Description
Festive, chewy blondies with white chocolate chips, rainbow sprinkles, and optional red, white, and blue M&Ms. Perfect for celebrations!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
- 1/4 cup red, white, and blue M&Ms (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter: In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted but not browned.
- Combine butter and sugar: Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Incorporate the eggs: Crack in the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition until fully incorporated.
- Add the vanilla extract: Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Dry ingredients time: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Fold in the goodies: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips, rainbow sprinkles, and M&Ms (if using). Reserve a few sprinkles to sprinkle on top before baking for an extra festive look.
- Prepare the baking pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan. You can also line the pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides, for easy removal.
- Pour in the batter: Pour the blondie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Use a spatula to smooth the top.
- Add extra sprinkles (optional): If you reserved some sprinkles, now’s the time to sprinkle them on top of the batter.
- Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Be careful not to overbake the blondies, as they will become dry. The edges should be golden brown, and the center should be set but still slightly soft.
- Cool completely: Remove the baking pan from the oven and let the blondies cool completely in the pan before cutting.
- Cut into squares: Once the blondies are completely cool, cut them into squares.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve the fireworks blondies and enjoy!
