Fireball Fluff Salad: A Deliciously Boozy Dessert Recipe

  • Total Time: 70 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Description

Festive dessert with pineapple, vanilla pudding, Fireball Whisky, whipped topping, and marshmallows. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whisky
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Pineapple and Pudding Mix: In a large mixing bowl, pour in the entire can of crushed pineapple, including the juice. Add the instant vanilla pudding mix to the bowl.
  2. Whisk Thoroughly: Using a whisk, combine the pineapple and pudding mix until completely smooth. Make sure there are no lumps of pudding mix remaining.
  3. Infuse with Fireball: Pour in the Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.
  4. Whisk Again: Gently whisk the mixture until the Fireball is fully incorporated. Be careful not to over-whisk.
  5. Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to an hour.
  6. Fold in the Whipped Topping: Remove the pudding mixture from the refrigerator. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until just combined.
  7. Add the Marshmallows: Add the mini marshmallows. Gently fold them in until they are evenly distributed.
  8. Incorporate Optional Ingredients: If using pecans and maraschino cherries, gently fold them into the salad until evenly distributed.
  9. Chill Again (Optional): For the best flavor and texture, chill the assembled fluff salad for another 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Serving Suggestions: Serve the fluff salad in a pretty bowl or individual dessert cups. You can garnish it with a few extra maraschino cherries or a sprinkle of chopped pecans for a more festive presentation.
  11. Storage: Store any leftover fluff salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Adjust the Fireball: Reduce the amount of Fireball to 1/2 cup or 3/4 cup for a less boozy salad. Substitute some of the Fireball with apple cider or apple juice for a milder flavor.
  • Add Other Fruits: Add other fruits to the salad, such as mandarin oranges, sliced bananas, or fresh berries. Be sure to drain any canned fruits well before adding them to the salad.
  • Use Different Pudding Flavors: Experiment with other pudding flavors, such as butterscotch, cheesecake, or even cinnamon swirl.
  • Make it a Parfait: Layer the fluff salad with crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers in individual parfait glasses for a more elegant presentation.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Substitute the Fireball with cinnamon syrup or apple cider with a dash of cinnamon extract.
