Description
Easy cheesy garlic butter rollups made with pizza dough, garlic butter, and mozzarella. Perfect appetizer, side, or snack.

- 1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, for greasing
Instructions
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble the Rollups: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12×16 inch rectangle.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter.
- Starting from one of the long edges, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
- Slice the log into 1-inch thick slices.
- Arrange the slices, cut-side up, in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Cool Slightly: Let cool in the baking dish for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the garlic butter mixture.
- Experiment with different herbs, such as basil, thyme, or rosemary.
- Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic aioli for dipping.
- Rollups can be assembled ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
