Blue Hawaiian Mocktail: A Refreshing Tropical Drink Recipe

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A vibrant and refreshing Blue Hawaiian Mocktail, perfect for a tropical escape. This non-alcoholic version features the classic flavors of pineapple, coconut, and a hint of citrus, all in a stunning blue hue.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ounce Blue Curaçao Syrup (non-alcoholic)
  • 2 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1 ounce Cream of Coconut
  • 1/2 ounce Lemon Juice, freshly squeezed
  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill Your Glass: Place your hurricane glass or tall glass in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, fill the glass with ice while you prepare the drink and then discard the ice.
  2. Combine the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the Blue Curaçao Syrup, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, and lemon juice. Ensure the cream of coconut is well-mixed before adding.
  3. Add Ice to the Shaker: Fill the cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice cubes.
  4. Shake Vigorously: Secure the lid of the cocktail shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
  5. Strain into the Glass: Remove the chilled glass from the freezer (or discard the ice). Strain the mocktail mixture from the shaker into the glass.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.
  7. Serve Immediately: Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust Sweetness: Reduce cream of coconut for a less sweet mocktail. Add club soda or sparkling water to dilute.
  • Make it Tangier: Increase lemon juice for a tangier flavor.
  • Use Fresh Pineapple: For the best flavor, use fresh pineapple juice.
  • Cream of Coconut Substitute: Use coconut cream if you can’t find cream of coconut, but add more pineapple juice to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Add a Splash of Ginger Ale: For a little fizz and a hint of spice, add a splash of ginger ale.
  • Layered Effect: Pour the pineapple juice into the glass first, then gently layer the Blue Curaçao Syrup on top. Finally, carefully add the cream of coconut.
  • Frozen Blue Hawaiian Mocktail: Blend all the ingredients with about 1 cup of ice until smooth.
  • Make it a Punch: Multiply the recipe by the number of servings you need. Combine all the ingredients in a large punch bowl and add a block of ice to keep it cold. Garnish with pineapple wedges, maraschino cherries, and orange slices.
  • Spice it up: Add a thin slice of jalapeno to the shaker for a spicy kick.
