- 1 cup shredded cabbage (green or purple)
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional)
- Hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil over the fish fillets and sprinkle the spice mixture evenly on both sides. Rub it in gently.
- Let the fish sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and flaky.
- Carefully remove the fish and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
- Squeeze lime juice over the cabbage mixture for added flavor.
- Slice the avocado or mash it with a fork, adding salt and lime juice if desired.
- If using sour cream or Greek yogurt, mix in lime juice and salt to enhance the flavor.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side or microwave them wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20-30 seconds.
- Place a piece of cooked fish in the center of each tortilla.
- Add a generous amount of the cabbage, tomato, and cilantro mixture on top.
- Top with avocado slices and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt, if using.
- Serve with lime wedges and hot sauce on the side.
