Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Optional toppings: caramel sauce, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, chopped nuts
Instructions
- Prepare Apples: Wash, core, and cut apples into 8 wedges each. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Make Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: In a small bowl, melt the butter. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice (if using). Whisk together. Pour melted butter over the spice mixture and stir until well combined.
- Coat Apple Wedges: Add apple wedges to the cinnamon-sugar mixture and toss gently until evenly coated.
- Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C) if required by your model. Arrange apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook: Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve: Remove from air fryer and serve immediately. Add optional toppings like caramel sauce, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or chopped nuts.
